Peter and Paul Fortress- Hermitage- Pushkin, Catherine's palace with Amber Room- Pavlovsk : park and Paul's palace- Nevsky Prospect- Spilt Blood Church- Usupov's palace- St.Isaak's cathedral

St. Petersburg is the second largest city of Russia after Moscow. Rather young compared to such European cities as London, Paris, Rome, Moscow, etc, the city played the important role in the history of Russia. It was founded more than 300 years ago in 1703 by Peter the Great as «the window into Europe», and was transformed into a new capital of the Russian Empire in nine years after foundation. Royal palaces, magnificent cathedrals, wide avenues, spacious squares, elegant buildings constructed by the best European architects, sixty-five rivers and canals, spanned by 350 bridges- all this beauty penetrated with the mystery and charm of the «White nights», in the company of our professional and friendly guides, will color your impressions and make your stay in St. Petersburg unforgettable!

The famous Amber room was brought to the place for decoration of one of the halls. Although the Nazis destroyed the palace itself during the World War II, most of its treasures were hidden in advance of the attack. Reconstruction began immediately after the German withdrawal.
